Objective: To obtain a position in a professional setting with room to advance. I am a passionate, organized, and motivated technician with 7+ years of experience in the automotive industry. After suffering a non-work related back injury, I no longer wish to be on the physical side of the counter. My goal is to further expand my knowledge as well as continue to sharpen both my written and verbal communication.

Skills:

Diagnosing, repairing, rebuilding, cars, trucks, diesel, 4×4, motorcycles, etc.
Communicating with venders, maintaining inventory, ordering adequate stock, and sourcing parts difficult to find.
Utilizing sources such as Alldata, IdentiFix, or Mitchell on Demand for calculating labor times and building a parts list to accurately write an estimate.
Translating the importance of the repairs needed to better help the customer make an informed decision.
Explaining the benefits of adhering to manufacturer recommended maintenance schedule.
Effectively and confidently communicating with customers to navigate and resolve any issues that might arise.
Education:

Lynden High School class of 2010
Fork-lift certified 2012-2014
Basic first aid and CPR certified 2006-2012

On the job training: shop assistant/ automotive technician apprentice/automotive tech/shop owner/operator. The knowledge I gained over the last 5 years is invaluable to my career in the industry, I absorbed volumes of information and “hands-on” training that I could not have received in any classroom setting.

Work Experience:

Jsport Autowerks: (2017 – 2018) Initially hired as a “Shop Assistant” but, with self-motivation and initiative I was quickly promoted to Lube Technician. After 90 days my pay was reassessed, and I officially became an Automotive Technician in training.
