Primo Fabrication is a rapidly growing, metal fabrication shop located in Lynden, WA. We design, fabricate and deliver innovative solutions that exceed industry standards and customer expectations. We specialize in Food Processing & Packaging, Manufacturing, Industrial and Architectural services.

We currently has an opening for a full-time Welder/ Fabricator to join our team. Ideal candidates will have previous experience with stainless TIG welding, a team attitude, willingness to travel and a focus on safety.

Days and hours of work are Monday through Thursday, 6:30am to 5:00pm, 40 hrs. a week. Additional evening and weekend work as well as working out of town may be required as job duties demand.

Fabricators are expected operate fabrication equipment such as saws, shears, rolls, brakes, presses, and punches that cut, shape and bend metal plates, sheets, tubes and structures by performing the following duties below.

Responsibilities

  • Perform welding, grinding, cutting, drilling, punching, layout, bending, shearing, color cleaning, assembly, and machining
  • Read shop prints and take verbal directions
  • Ensure all fabrication is correct in dimensions, functionally, and quantity
  • Keep a clean and organized work area
  • Perform all tasks safely and follow the safety guidelines and policies
  • Communicate well with supervisors and co-workers
  • Project install and on-site work
  • Travel in the greater Seattle area and out of state
  • Help co-workers on project details and questions
  • Perform overtime as requested

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.

Work Location: In person

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 – $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week

Shift: 10 hour shift

Physical Demands

  • Be able to properly communicate in a noisy work area
  • Be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl and climb for long periods of time throughout the day
  • Be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED diploma, or three to six months’ related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Fabrication certificate received from trade school preferred.
  • Two to three years’ work experience in fabrication shop required.
  • Ability to manage a project.
  • Ability to work accurately in a fast pace environment.
  • Good organization, scheduling, and time management skills.
  • Comfortable quality checking work to minimize mistakes and errors.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Be able to work as a team and work alone as needed.
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Willing to work out of town

Experience & Education

Welding 2 years (Required)
High school or equivalent (Preferred)
