Duties and Responsibilities include:

• Perform diagnosis and repair of equipment, tools, trucks and vans. Tasks include repair, replace and maintain parts and components for all types of heavy-duty equipment as well.
• Read and comprehend repair manuals, service bulletins, schematics, verbal and written instructions as well as utilizing computers.
• Perform welding, cutting, fabrication and equipment modifications.
• Perform equipment inspections and operational tests on equipment to determine if equipment is operating within the manufacturer’s specifications.
• Conduct post-repair inspections of equipment, including repairs completed by vendors, prior to returning it to service to ensure repairs have been finished completely, properly, cost-effectively and that the equipment is safe to operate.
• Prepare and maintain preventative maintenance records on trucks, vans and equipment.
• Order and check-in parts, maintenance supplies and other items to ensure that the shop operates efficiently.
• Participate in activities such as safety meetings.
• Willing to work Monday-Friday, 40+ hours per week.Qualifications:

Qualifications:

• Qualified candidates must have at least 3 years of experience with general mechanical work.
• Strong mechanical, electrical and hydraulic skills needed.
• Welding and fabricating skills desired.
• Good communication skills, basic computer skills and basic math skills required.
• Ability to work with a variety of shop equipment and small tools.
• Be self-motivated, able to work independently and able to multi-task.
• Employee will be required to use a company vehicle to conduct work. You must possess and maintain a current, clean driver’s license.
