The HR Generalist assists the Human Resources Manager with specialized tasks to support employees and management.  This position applies business knowledge and human resources expertise to a variety of functions including recruiting and selection, performance management, leave of absence, employee relations, and HR best practices.

 

Top Responsibilities include:

Performs professional level human resources work.
Demonstrates knowledge of personnel programs, company policies, and administrative procedures. Works with HR Manager to explain complex aspects of company HR programs such as benefit administration, recruitment and placement, employee development, employee relations and services, and equal employment opportunity to employees and management.
Collaborates with HR Manager to coordinate employee leaves of absence programs including FMLA, state/local paid leave, short- and long-term disability, and worker’s compensation.  Provides individualized support and communication to employees.
Manages onboarding process for new hires
Facilitates new hire orientation
Responds to general inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and timecards from employees and management.
Employee Relations
Support Recruitment team, HR Manager, and department
Requirements for this position include:

Strong Verbal and Written communication skills
Ability to prioritize and delegate tasks
Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field required.
2+ years of human resources or related experience.

Pay Range: $30-$36/hour

Shift: Full-Time

Position Type: Contract February through June

Location: Bellingham
