Job Summary: Express Employment Professionals is hiring Production & Packaging Associates for a temporary opportunity with a fast-paced, family-owned bakery in Bellingham. This company is dedicated to creating delicious allergen-free baked goods while promoting sustainability and reducing its environmental impact.

In this role, you will take on a variety of responsibilities, including monitoring the baking process, working with raw ingredients, ensuring products meet quality standards, and performing packaging tasks. This is a great opportunity to wear multiple hats, gain valuable training, and build experience in a supportive team environment.

Pay: Earn $19.13/HR, pay increase after probationary period
Shift: Monday-Thursdays (8:00 am or 9:00 am start time until 5:00 pm or 6:00 pm)
Position Type: Temporary for the next three months
Location: Bellingham, WA

Job Duties & Responsibilities include:

PACKAGING:

Follow standard operating procedures, company guidelines, and written instructions
Operate and monitor machinery, ensuring smooth, clean, and safe operation
Inspect products and packaging to meet quality standards; identify and remove defective items
Package, seal, and label products according to production specifications
Maintain the cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and dishes while adhering to safety standards
Perform regular record keeping, line audits, and prepare for upcoming production days
Report issues to supervisors/managers and assist with training or other assigned tasks
Work efficiently in a fast-paced, standing environment

PRODUCTION:

Operate, monitor, and adjust food cooking machines and kitchen equipment according to company and recipe standards.
Measure, load, and mix raw/wet ingredients following written recipes and industry guidelines.
Deposit batter, load baking racks into ovens, and monitor baking times/temperatures.
Remove finished products from the line, transfer to cooling areas, and assist with packaging.
Inspect equipment, perform record keeping, and verify product quality (size, shape, and consistency).
Maintain a clean, contamination-free workstation while following safety and production standards.
