Mechanical Detailer

Coastline Equipment Inc. is looking for a permanent full-time CAD Drafter/Detailer to join and support our engineering team. At Coastline we engineer, design, fabricate, install, and commission, customized automated food and material handling solutions.

Qualifications

·         Associates, Bachelor’s degree, or technical certification, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.  Demonstratable industry experience in the technical design field will be considered.

·         Proficiency in AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor and knowledge of Autodesk Vault a bonus.

Key Responsibilities

·         Select electromechanical components related to sanitary equipment.

·         Create detailed shop and part drawings for fabrication team

·         Work with production team on specifications, process improvements, and design changes.

·         Support and participate within the engineering design team

·         Coordinate daily engineering activities to meet project timeline

·         Design, review, and producing customized engineered food solution systems

Prepare 2D/3D CAD drawings, layouts, and models based on engineering/design specifications
Update and revise existing CAD files to reflect design changes
Collaborate with engineers to interpret project requirements
Maintain drawing accuracy, clarity, and consistency in accordance with company standards
Organize and archive CAD files and documentation
Develop and investigate new engineering solutions for customized projects
Ensure timely delivery of drafting assignments within project timelines
·         Agree to overtime as requested

Ability to travel occasionally to support onsite activities
·         And all other duties as assigned

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to interpret technical drawings, shop drawings
Ability to work independently or as a team to complete tasked projects
The ability to work in a high volume, fast paced environment subject to specific deadlines that must be met, while verifying the accuracy of own and/or others’ work
The ability to effectively communicate and interact with employees at all levels within the organization and follow instructions
Ability and willingness to learn and utilize ERP software
Benefits:

 

·         $24.00-$34.00 Depending on experience

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting.
Must be able to go up and down a flight of stairs.
