Summary of Position
A Maintenance Technician I is responsible for performing preventative maintenance and attending to equipment downtime on production equipment as required, while working with the senior members to complete electrical and mechanical projects. This position requires 2 years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment of 1 year of experience with a recognized trade certificate.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain compliance with all Company policies.
Maintain personal compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and recommend measures to improve health and safety within the facility.
Demonstrate safe work practices and follow company safety policies, procedures, and regulations including but not limited to Lock Out/Tag Out practices.
Perform preventative/predictive maintenance to production and facility equipment as required.
Complete small electrical or mechanical projects as directed by Team Lead or Supervisor.
Diagnose basic electrical systems, mechanical components, pneumatic components, and controls to identify hazards, defects, and need for adjustments, repairs, or programming.
Support the maintaining of the electrical spare parts inventory levels.
Maintain and perform repairs on equipment to restore them to proper, safe, and optimal working conditions.
Adhere to work orders and utilize CMMS system for data entry.
Ability to work rotating shifts, overnight, weekends, holidays, and overtime, as needed.
Must be able to lift upwards of 50lbs.
Skills
Knowledge of equipment set-up, functions, operating procedures, and preventative maintenance techniques.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair basic pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
Ability to read basic electrical and electronic schematics/diagrams, and basic hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams.
Good analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

Mechanical aptitude/ interest.
Education and/or Experience:
Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience or 1 year experience with one of the following:309A – Electrician – Construction & Maintenance
433A – Industrial Mechanic
Preferred:
Forklift or scissor lift certification or experience.
Compensation and Benefits
$26-$32/Hour
